Dr. Geldzahler completed his dental training at New York University. In addition he completed an Anesthesiology Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at New York Medical College / Metropolitan Hospital Center.

He spent several years in full-time academics as the Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program for New York Medical College. While there he was responsible for curriculum development, and he supervised the training of oral and maxillofacial surgeons at three New York Hospitals, including the Westchester Medical Center where he was Chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 2001-2011. He has returned to private practice, but is still active at the Medical Center, and is one of the principal surgeons on the Craniofacial Team, which is responsible for treating children and adults with craniofacial deformities.

Dr. Geldzahler is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition he is a Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, a Fellow of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.

He is an experienced surgeon who is distinguished in his field. He has performed innovative procedures on both children and adults, and has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally on multiple topics in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
